Continuously run jobs can help you implement near-continuous data protection (near-CDP) for the most critical applications installed on VMs. A new session of a continuously running job starts as soon as the previous job session completes. You can schedule the job to run continuously - that is, in a non-stop manner. In this case, Veeam Backup & Replication will start a new job session at 8:00 AM. The first job session starts at 12:00 AM, takes 5 hours and completes at 5:00 AM. For example, you set up a job to run with a 4-hour interval. If a session of a periodically run job does not fit into the specified time interval and overlaps the next planned job session, Veeam Backup & Replication starts the next backup job session at the nearest scheduled interval.
